#ATYMOOC has been a real success, 563 people attended the course, and, thanks to the social media campaign and the word of mouth, more people are still subscribing to get access to the training material and to watch our video tutorials, our selection of documents and the WEB SELF LEARNING TOOL to make accessibility assessments. The participants who have finished the tests and the mooc questionnaire are starting asking for the CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE. The ATY staff is collecting all requests, and will send the certificate very soon! We are proud of you! THANKS for the great work you have done with us and the high level of participation.

On the occasion of the International Day of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2016, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism,  Directorate General for Museums and Directorate General for Tourism, in cooperation with the Social and Integrated Cooperative Tandem organised the conference "Cultural heritage” Fruition and training: projects for accessibility to cultural heritage and tourist facilities ":

The event was held at the Hall Spadolini in the Collegio Romano, institutional headquarters of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism on  December 7, 2016 from 9.00 to 14.00.

The event aimed to highlight the theme of "culture for all" within the Italian context and the wider  European context, with particular reference to the use of the State cultural facilities , through the presentation of important interventions realized  by the Administration of cultural heritage and tourism.

The European project APP TOUR YOU, funded by the Erasmus plus program, strategic partnerships for Education and Vocational Training, coordinated by the Cooperative Tandem, was also presented. The project is experimenting new and innovative approaches to the training on accessible tourism and tourism information for small and medium-sized enterprises and operators in the tourism sector, to increase their competitiveness.

The Secretary of State Hon. Ilaria Borletti Buitoni, attended the conference together with the Director General for Museums Ugo Soragni and the  Director General for Tourism Francesco Palumbo.

Invited speakers were all leading experts in the field of cultural heritage and tourism for all and representatives of the Associations of tourism enterprises.

Today the MOOC officially begins! We have already reached more than 280 inscriptions and people is still registering. Because of the large demand we will keep inscriptions open throughout the course, to let everyone step in and share their experience on accessible tourism in the biggest online-learning event on accessibility up to date. Please register on and use the #hashtag "#atymooc" to get visibility and to share your accessible tourism experience with us in the social media (facebook and twitter or on your blogs)!
